Social media ads are paid advertisements that are placed on social networks such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn Snapchat, Reddit or X (formerly Twitter). The ads can appear in various formats such as images, videos, carousels or stories and are used to increase brand awareness, sell products or generate website visits, among other things.
General Requirements
Social media can seem confusing with its various placements and formats. However, they can be broken down into the following dimensions, please provide photos and/or videos with the following assets:
Aspect ratio:
- 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16
- Minimum resolution: 1080 x 1080 Pixel
File format:
- Picture: .jpg or .png / max. 5 MB
- Video: .mp4 / max. 200 MB
- Lenght: max. 15 seconds
Design recommendations:
- URL
- Call-to-Action (CTA)
Additional information:
- Text: max. 280 characters
- Titel: max. 70 characters
- Description: max. 30 characters

- Please always observe the guidelines of the respective social platform so that the ads are approved
Make sure to place important text and logos within 5% of the edge of the video frame so that they are not cut off. For a 1080 x 1080 pixel image, this corresponds to approximately 54 pixels.
For the top and bottom of the video, important content should remain within 14% of the edge. For a 1080 x 1920 pixel video, that would be about 250 pixels at the top and bottom.
