The muted instream ad is a video ad that is played as part of high-quality content videos. If a video article is called up that starts muted (autoplay) and the sound is not activated for 10 seconds, a muted instream ad is displayed. The ad can be unmuted at any time.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

• Video codec: VP6/H.264
• Audio codec: MPEG Audio
• Aspect ratio: 16 : 9
• Delivery as redirect: with CORS header (200 response), MP4 + HTTPS capable
• Video duration: max. 30 seconds
• For interactive videos: advertising label, remaining time indicator as well as a close button must be provided

• The top and bottom 40 px should not contain any advertising-related messages or clickable elements
• Media Impact reserves the right to reject advertising material in case of technical problems. Certified providers preferred (already certified: Innovid, Brainient, Sizmek)
• Different specifications apply to the “wrapper” (on request)
• The sound in the advertising material must be able to be switched on and off by the user at any time via clearly visible controls. The volume must also be adjustable
