And the winner is… The Carat agency won the German Media Award from W&V in the category “Media Idea of the Year Print” for its client VELUX with the shadow print advertisement that appeared last year in WELT AM SONNTAG and DIE WELT.

In a moving image campaign, Velux shows how homeowners dream of their new rooms redesigned with a Velux window. This campaign was to be translated into print media. This special advertisement appeared in high-end daily/weekly newspapers that are highly relevant to the target group of homeowners. When held up to the light, it allowed the target group to experience the transformation of a room with a Velux skylight.
Jury statement: “This idea adds a completely new benefit to a traditional medium that has not existed before. It is fresh and surprising.” (W&V)
